The Pastor's Desk
To say that the last few years since the pandemic was tumultuous is an understatement for many and we are told more chaos is coming. But God promises to keep all those who will come into His secret place. Therefore, we welcome you here at Bloor West Baptist to worship the Lord with us. Here you will find a loving atmosphere grounded in the Spirit and in truth. No matter, what is going on in this world, God is still on the throne and wants you; whosoever will, to come to Him. I dare you to trust Him; believe me when I tell you, He is a deliverer. I am a living witness. So, come and join into the awesome work of the Lord as you find your place and calling for your life. "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:1,4-5, and 14 KJV

Scriptures Of The Week
By D. Baverstock
Why be joyful?
For most of the culture today, it appears that joy is elusive. Turning to entertainment, impurity, drugs, sports, relationships, shopping, or whatever else – all in the hope of finding deep soul satisfaction. But the only way we are going to experience joy is when we realize the source of it is not circumstances, situations, or emotions. We must remember that the fullness of joy is found in the presence of God, and we won't find it anywhere else. -Deeper Christian "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23 NIV "But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You." - Psalm 5:11: NIV Let us Pray Heavenly Father, we come to You today to ask for Your joy. We know You are the source of all joy, and we ask that You would fill our hearts with Your presence. Help us to see the good in our lives, even when things are tough. Help us to be grateful for all that You have given us. And help us to share Your joy with others. in Jesus' mighty name Amen -- CHRISTIANITY.com
